Capitals White House Visit Sparks Fan Controversy

Word slipped out on Tuesday that the Washington Capital Stanley Cup Champions would keep with tradition and visit the White House on 25 March. Only seven of the players are US born, and as of today, only Brett Connolly has said he will not attend the celebration. Other players may decide against going; however, for now it looks as if most of the team will reunite with Lord Stanley on Monday. Capitals Set to Visit White House with Stanley Cup

The Washington Capitals have another big visit in DC planned with the Stanley Cup. They will visit the White House on Monday, 25 March, as first reported by the Washington Post. Although the Caps have not officially announced the visit, which falls between home games against the Flyers and the Hurricanes, we are pretty confident in what we are hearing.
