After a complete dud Sunday night in Anaheim, the Washington Capitals bounced back in Los Angeles Monday night at Staples Center with a 3-2 win over the Kings. Caps Winless Drought Extends to Seven Games Entering Break

The Washington Capitals were expected by many experts to have a Stanley Cup hangover of some sorts after winning the Cup and enduring the shortest, quickest offseason for the entire roster. Things were kind of 50/50 at the start of the season, then the team got hot to close out the 2018 calendar year. When that calendar flipped to 2019, that hangover talk resurfaced. The team is having a hard time moving on from the past.  Continue reading “Caps Winless Drought Extends to Seven Games Entering Break”

Andre Burakovsky Comes Up Clutch to Snap Caps Two-Game Slide

michael banner 2Coming of two straight tough losses, the Washington Capitals came up big in Arizona with a 4-2 win over the Coyotes. Jakub Vrana, Matt Niskanen, and Andre Burakovsky each lit the lamp, Burkie’s goal coming in crunch time, as did Alex Ovechkin with an empty netter. Perhaps the funniest thing from this storyline is Pheonix Copley got the start in Phoenix. Copley stopped 27-04-28 shots with a .931 save percentage in the win.  Continue reading “Andre Burakovsky Comes Up Clutch to Snap Caps Two-Game Slide”

So Many Smiles

Game three for the Caps was anything but boring, in fact it was down right dirty. Of course we are talking about the Flyers and their fans. One even went as far as throwing a memorial bracelet for the late Ed Snider at Dmitry Orlov who was getting treatment for injuries sustained during a hit from Bellamare, who has since been suspended for game four of the series. All of this being said we know how hard it is once the game is over, you just want another game! Well to hold you over until 7:00pm we have ANOTHER gallery for you featuring all your faves (excuse the high volume of #46 photos in this one).
