Capitals Red Carpet, BIG Rings, and Cheering Fans – More Photos!

We arrived earlier than we planned to see the die-hard fans (yes we mean you Wu’s) lining up as the staff was trying to lay out the red carpet for the 4pm event.

The streets of DC were ROCKING RED!!

It was a bit hard for some of the fans to see and reach the players for photos and autographs with all the professional photographers hogging the carpet and blocking the view.

Still- we never give up for you and we got a few great shots. Click here for other photos.

The players arrived by Lexis sedans to the cheers of fans.

Chandler Stephenson was loving the walk and stopped for just about everyone.

Craig Laughlin and Peter Bondra proudly displayed their Stanley Cup rings for fans to take pictures. What a thing of beauty Ted Leonsis treated them to!

It was a beautiful day to welcome back the team fans have stood with for years while waiting for the day they would raise the banner. Even if they weren’t able to make it inside. The Capitals set up a viewing screen on G Street where a few fans brought chairs and blankets to be a part of the celebrations.
