BROOKS ORPIK UPDATE

The Capitals recalled Tyler Lewington from Hershey this morning, indicating that Orpik is not necessarily ready for game action just yet. Orpik practiced in a normal navy-blue defenseman jersey. He has missed action for nearly two months with a knee injury. When Todd Reirden addressed the media, he noted that Orpik will get a full practice in tomorrow and will almost certainly travel with the team to Saturday’s game in Ottawa. He will likely not play in that game but there’s a possibility he could play as soon as New Years Eve when the Capitals host the Predators.
