While there was no penalty on the play, Niskanen exited the game and did not return. Following the game, Caps head coach Todd Reirden didn’t have an update but with the team practicing on Friday morning before traveling to Ottawa for Saturday’s game with the Senators the coach got a better idea that morning on Niskanen’s status. Alex Ovechkin is on Pace for a Historic Season

Age and daddy time being undefeated doesn’t apply to Alex Ovechkin. Ever since hoisting Lord Stanley’s Cup on June 7th, Ovechkin is playing like a weight as big as an 800 pound gorilla is off his shoulder. The summer workouts paid off as Ovechkin came flying out the gates with seven goals in his first two games of that season, including back-to-back hat tricks.  Continue reading “Alex Ovechkin is on Pace for a Historic Season”
