Ready to Party with the Caps Again?

Wednesday is the BIG day in Washington DC. The Washington Capitals finally bring the Stanley Cup to the fans at Capital One Arena (COA). And shortly after 7pm on October 3, 2018 they will raise the Stanley Cup Championship banner for the whole world to witness!!

The day is full of events starting with morning skate at MedStar Capitals Iceplex at 1015. Info on MCI – parking and viewing can be found here. Don’t plan on getting too many autographs though- the boys will be on a tight schedule!

And then the fun really kicks off. The streets surrounding the Arena will be closed to traffic to allow thousands of fans to watch the momentous event on the big screen on G Street. More details about road closings can be found here: Caps Viewing Party

Get there early for the Red Carpet to see the players arrive in chauffeur-driven cars and pose for selfies and sign a few autographs on the way in!

There will be plenty of friends to hang out with on the street. Bring a chair to sit because we expect fans to arrive early. Click here for Metro info, or take an Uber down and avoid the stress of parking. SpotHero can help you find parking ahead of the game at garages nearby.

Inside The Vault fans will find new seats and new vendors. COA has promised that all the renovations will be complete by Opening Day! Be sure to check out the remodeled PWC Club on the Kettler Loft (2nd level). We have had mixed reviews but it is worth it if you want a place to sit and have a drink.

And if you are watching from home- thankfully there will be national coverage for everyone on NBCSN Wednesday Night Hockey starting at 6 pm and local coverage before and after the game on NBC Sports Washington. Additionally NHL will broadcast from around, and inside, the Arena. Set those recording devices to watch it all over and over again!

NBC Sports Washington coverage begins at 12 noon:

1 – 230 Caps Journey To the Cup

230 – 4 Capitals Championship Parade
