MEDSTAR CAPITALS ICEPLEX – Remember that one time when Tom Wilson was suspended for three playoff games in the second round against the Penguins? This led to then-head coach Barry Trotz having to push some buttons for the right guy along the right wing spot. In a pivotal Game 5, Jakub Vrana got his turn on the top line alongside the budding superstars of Alex Ovechkin and Evgeny Kuznetsov. Entering a third period with everything but the season on the line, Vrana scored and also added two assists. Capitals Buzz -Monthly Review

We are ten games into the post Stanley Cup winning season and the Caps haven’t really hit their stride yet. To date they have won seven games – two in overtime, and they have lost three with two in overtime. Although we are seeing some rising stars (and some struggling skates), we have yet to see the consistency we hoped for given their outstanding launch on 3 October. Craig Laughlin’s Wife to Partake in Ceremonial Puck Drop for Caps Fight Cancer Night Nov. 9

On Friday November 9, the Washington Capitals will host their annual #CapsFightCancer night and feature a special guest to drop the puck before the game. Linda Laughlin, the wife of the Capitals color commentator Craig Laughlin for NBC Sports Washington, will participate in the ceremonial puck drop. Pheonix Copley Gets His First NHL Win as Caps Defeat Flames in Shootout

The Capitals continued their four-game road trip in Calgary on Saturday afternoon looking to rebound from their loss to Edmonton on Thursday. This was a back-and-fourth contest that ultimately saw the Caps come out on top 4-3 in the shootout thanks to Nicklas Backstrom going top shelf. Andre Burakovsky Scores First Goal of Season in Caps Loss to Oilers

The Washington Capitlas fell 4-1 to the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday night in the second of a four-game road trip. Their record drops to 4-2-2. The Pregame: Alex Chiasson Gets His Stanley Cup Ring, Preview of Tonight’s Tilt in Edmonton

After a big win on Monday night in Vancouver, the Caps continue their four-game road trip tonight in Edmonton against Connor McDavid and the Oilers. Puck drop is at 9:00 p.m. on NBC Sports Washington. The Stanley Cup ring tour made another big stop! After Jay Beagle got his ring, it was Alex Chiasson’s turn. Making the Capitals last year on a PTO, Chiasson was instrumental in the bottom-six forward corps. Gary Bettman Upholds Tom Wilson’s 20-Game Suspension

After a hearing that lasted seven hours last week involving NHL commissioner Gary Bettman and Washington Capitals right winger Tom Wilson involving his appeal on his 20-game suspension to start the year, Bettman announced his decision on Thursday afternoon. All I Want for Christmas is…

Well Everyone, it’s official. I can now buy my Nate Schmidt Golden Knights jersey. Yes, you read that correctly. Nate is going to be in Vegas for a very long time, as the team signed him to a six-year contract extension totally 35.7 Million. Obviously we are SUPER excited for Nate here at FiCP and can’t wait to spend many more holidays in Vegas to watch him play.

Nate is available to play following his 20 game suspension November 18th when the Knights take on the Oilers, and you better believe we’ll be watching…
