From current Caps roster, including Hershey Bear players:
Capitals UFAs this summer are:
Capitals RFAs are:
And the Caps have a money problem. They have some pretty stellar players like John Carlson and Tom Wilson that they either need to lock down quickly or let go to make room for newer players. This is what the current cap status looks like according to CapFriendly.
The Caps negotiators and managers also have to look beyond the current year to the next season when other key players become RFAs and UFAs. Players like Andre Burakovsky, Brett Connolly, Jakub Vrana, Christian Djoos, Chandler Stephenson, and Nathaniel Walker. It is never an easy time of the year. We know we will be on pins and needles the next few weeks.
And don’t forget, Caps Development Camp and Caps Training Camp are just around the corner. And there is that little ceremony in Vegas!
This hockey in June doesn’t give the Caps or us much time to breathe! But we like it!’
