Stanley Cup Champions Washington Capitals Salute the Fans

Remember this day children:

June 12, 2018 The Washington Capitals celebrated with their fans in one big giant humongous party down Constitution Avenue.

They did a ‘dry run’ around 8 am as chartered buses drove into DC with the average citizen on their way to work. We cheered as they passed by on their way to Capital One Arena to stage for the parade. By staging, we mean get the beer flowing again!

Finally around 11 am we heard the first squeals of delight as the Mayor Bowser kicked the parade off from her car.

Then came the honorary guests, the bands, the season ticket holders from 1974, and so much more. And we caught it from various angles on the parade route just for you

The Caps did a great job having the players dispersed over several buses so we didn’t get too anxious waiting for the final bus!!
