The new year means a new start to our daily posts. We had the idea last year during the trades to give you one spot at the end of the day to catch up on Capitals news. We weren’t trying to replace Japers Rink who does a great morning wrap up from around the media-producing world. We weren’t trying to capture every post out there- again ’cause Japers does a most excellent job of that and is sanctioned by the Capitals.
We were a bit displaced in our efforts by another blog and so we backed away from a daily post. However, we love Twitter and Instagram and we know it’s hard for those of you working to see everything tweeted. So we are going to help!!
Starting today we will Post a 5 pm Dinner Edition of some our favorite tweets and IG posts of the day. Some from the Caps, some from the media, and some from Caps fans. We want to keep it light and fun!
So here are some of the Best of Jan 2:

Canes' Justin Williams played for Caps past two years. On facing Caps tonight: "I alway attribute it to the metaphor that you're seeing your ex-girlfriend. You want to show 'em you still have it. I'm still doing well and you want to prove them wrong and you want to beat them."

My coffee cup was sitting here. A puck came through the netting, landed on the cup, dented the top and then bounced down to ding me on the toe. It's going to be a good day. pic.twitter.com/1Z49yscGFx
