The Washington Capitals battled steadily against the Columbus Blue Jackets in Washington DC on Thursday night. The Caps ended the night holding the Metropolitan Division lead. And the night pitted two of the best goalies (Braden Holtby and Sergei Bobrovsky) and potential Vezina Trophy winners, against each other.

For his part, “Bob” was brilliant at his end but Holtbeast had some pretty amazing saves himself.

There was a lot of hard work put in on both sides which was evident in the tight score.

Holtby had three saves in the shootout while TJ Oshie put one in the net to win it for the Caps. Backstrom and Kuzy gave it their best shot but only TJ was able to connect.

Fans were pretty happy with the start to finish of the game…as were the boyz!

Caps will take on the Arizona Coyotes on Saturday at 7 pm. All they need to do is keep doing what they are doing and working together.
