Caps Practice: Getting Serious but Still Smiling (Our Photos & Video)

Ok, Monday was not the best game the Caps have played, but it wasn’t their worst game either. They pulled off an OT win, two points, and broke the losing streak. However, Coach Trotz had some harsh words following about his captain and the sin bin (“unacceptable”) — we agree. He said he and Alex spoke after the game and that they came to an understanding. Ovi knows he can’t keep going to the penalty box and will make adjustments. We hope that is true not just for him, but all the players.

There was a lot of coach and player interaction as well as the players encouraging one another–these are good things to knit the group together. No doubt they are serious about fixing the gaps in performance.

He looked happy and his stick-handling looked great today. If not Wednesday, we would expect him to fly with the team to Buffalo on Friday.

Morning skate is scheduled for Wednesday morning at 10L30. We’ll wait until then to guess about the lines. Check out our post on Trotz to see what he had to say. In the meantime, we expect more stick and head taps on the way: like this  little Taste of Swedish love!

Remember practice  and morning skate is open to everyone, and sometime that means man’s best friend too!
